Five Guys

“Pretty solid choose-your-own-toppings-burger! At least five guys worked in the kitchen, ladies too, which allowed the burger to come out within only 6 minutes time. It helps that the burger is of the smaller variety and seared on one side only. But let’s be clear; time saving measures didn’t compromise the taste here! The only failings of this burger were the wee portion of grilled onions, and well…the burger disappeared in as little time as it took to make. Next time, I’ll ask for an extra patty.”

Little Fries – Five Guys Style

  • Fresh-Cut with the Skins
  • Twice-cooked?
  • Golden Brown/Bronze
  • Tender Inside and Out
  • Salted

Good news! The Five Guys’ “Little [Fry]” is a heaping portion of potatoes stuffed into a paper cup, swimming in a sea of baglers. Yes, they pour extra in the bag, which is always a nice surprise for any fry enthusiast once she’s reached the bottom of the carton. Not so good news? This batch was half good–crispy, salty and golden brown, the other half–dark bronze, soft and tasting like peanut oil that’s been in the fryer a tad too long.
